In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to UNDERSTAND THE KIND OF LOVE GOD EXPECTS FROM YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL - THE LOVE JESUS EXHIBITED BY DYING FOR THE WHOLE WORLD; BE READY TO DO SAME FOR OTHERS.
The word 'LOVE' has been bastardized by generations past and present. Many use it to satisfy their sensual urges while others use it to take advantage of others to get what they want, but Jesus Christ gave us the one and ONLY definition of what TRUE LOVE is.
To understand what TRUE LOVE is, you need to understand what it is not.
LOVE is not LUST.
LOVE is not GIFTING
LOVE is not PRETENSE
LOVE is not FAVOR
LOVE is not FRIENDSHIP
LOVE is not MUTUALISM
LOVE is not SELFISHNESS
LOVE is not SELF-LOVE
LOVE Is not PARTNERSHIP
LOVE is SACRIFICIAL, UNCONDITIONAL, and PURE, without ulterior motives or negative intentions.
Jesus Christ did not die for the whole world because He was expecting anything in return.
He wasn't doing it for the fun of it either, He gave His life for you without having to get any benefits from you.
In like manner, you are urged today to take a cue from Christ's kind of Love and restore the TRUE ESSENCE of LOVE in this world.
God is not expecting you to die for anyone as it were, however, laying down your life for others means you have to be ready to bear any inconvenience or discomfort for others at your own expense without hesitation.
TRUE LOVE gives and does not wait to get. Keep giving because like a seed, it will definitely yield a bountiful harvest.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO LOVE WITHOUT ASKING FOR ANYTHING IN RETURN.
