In today's HOLINESS CHALLENGE, I challenge you to DISPLAY LOVE IN ACTION, DEED AND SINCERITY, NOT JUST IN SPEECH BUT BY PRACTICE.
Love is one of the most used words in the world today. It has been used, abused and bastardized, making it lose the real essence.
Love is ACTIVE. It is not enough to say it, you need to follow it up with action. For instance, God so loved the world. The 'LOVE' in this context is not 'PAST TENSE' but 'PRESENT CONTINUOUS'.
God proved His love for the world by SENDING HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to come and die for the whole world.
God's love was displayed by OFFERING His son as a SACRIFICE, and Jesus Christ displayed Love by ACCEPTING the proposal to come and die for mankind without arguments.
Love is not selective, it is all-encompassing, unreserved, timeless, boundless, limitless, pure and without bias or favouritism.
You are expected to love even when the person doesn't deserve it. Love even when you know clearly that the person will not appreciate or reciprocate.
Love without expecting anything in return, and don't stop loving because your expectations from the recipients were not met.
Love is neither mutualism nor commensalism. Don't wait for that person to reciprocate before you decide whether to continue or not.
Love has to be PURE and done in TRUTH, not fake or a show of pretense. The recommended LOVE is neither Phileo (love between siblings or friends) nor Eros (sensual, erotic or immoral).
The recommended LOVE is AGAPE which is DIVINE, UNCONDITIONAL, SELFLESS and SACRIFICIAL.
LOVE IN DEED AND IN TRUTH; LOVE ARIGHT, LOVE LIKE JESUS.
